There are times to be fancy and times to keep it simple. This is a keep it simple moment. Avocado is one of my favorite add-ons to a lot of dishes, especially toast. This is an awesome quick and super tasty breakfast or even afternoon snack.
Alright, on to the build out. I like to start by toasting Arnold’s multi-grain bread. While the bread is toasting, half an avocado and slice into thick strips. Save the other side for another meal by wrapping tightly in plastic wrap with the pit still in and refrigerate. It will last for another day or so. Now slice a ripe tomato. I typically put 2 thick slices on each piece of toast. Once your toast pops up, place the slices of avocado on the bottom layer of the toast, followed by the tomato slices, drizzle olive oil, and finish with cracked sea salt and crushed black pepper.
Quick check…tasty check….healthy check! Hope you enjoy.
